The
origin of the Lendava Health Resort is unusual, and its fossil
healing water is particularly special; Europe has only two such
springs. The springs were discovered by chance in the 1960’s
during oil drilling operations in the Prekmurje village of Petišovci
near Lendava.
Terme
Lendava represents the interweaving of advantageous natural
and cultural features. The Pannonian Plain flows picturesquely
into the Lendava hills. The climate is gentle; here we find
the protected stork nesting on chimneys and enjoy the cultural
offer of the 800-years-old town of Lendava with its rich history
at the meeting point of Slovenia, Austria, and Hungary. The
ethnically diverse surrounding area also means a multitude of
folk traditions, ethnological attractions, and gourmand specialties.
Last but not least, the large number of foreign guests at the
Terme Lendava health resort and tourist center creates an atmosphere
where very diverse needs and desires meet a friendly reception.
