People have been
coming to Laško’s healing springs since time immemorial.
Roman legionaries knew them, missionaries visited them in the
Middle Ages, and at the end of the 19th century Laško
had grown into the cosmopolitan health resort of the Austrian-Hungarian
Emperor Francis Joseph I. They all come in search of health.
Not
so long ago, the Laško Health Resort was a well-know center
of medical rehabilitation, but today a center for health tourism
has developed on the basis of this tradition, intended for people
who have difficulties with movement and those who wish to aboid
such problem.
