The
coastline of the Slovenian Mediterranean is a delightful filigreed
jewel. Above all, it is a fertile land, exploding luxuriantly
with every type of greenery and plant life. In the summer, cool
shadows provide welcome relief from the hot sun and in the winter,
a stroll beneath a promenade of evergreens offers an incomparable
feeling for here, on the Slovenian coast, it almost never snows
and when it does, it only sprinkles.

Touristic
Protorož literally means the Port of Flowers but
the rest of the coast does not lag far behind. Visitors
are given a wide variety of choices for an active vacation:
a delectable dip in the sea, sailing, wind surfing in
the gentle breezes, soaking in the Protorož spring
and mud baths, hand gliding which offers perhaps the most
spectacular summer views of the coastal area.

And
there’s much more for those who are passionate about fitness:
tennis, skin diving in Protorož, one of the best harbours
in the Mediterranean, golfing in the Karst and bike trips inland
– such an effort made in the cool green shadows is exceedingly
pleasant!!

For
winter swimmer, the sea is a bit cooler but one can also
find excellent indoor heated pools at the hotels. A walk
among the natural beauty of the cypresses, the smell of
rosemary and bay all round, is always a deluxe experience
for the body and the soul. And that's not all: the Palace
Hotel has a seven hundred year tradition of thermal health
treatments; thalasotherapy which are "sea cures"
of salt water, mud and mineral baths.

|
|
Since 1928,
the Hotel has successfully added new treatment: electrotherapy,
massage and acupuncture. For women who wish to maintain their
youthful appearance, a beauty program is also offered - including
dieting regimes, anti-cellulite and detoxification treatments
- from which no woman has departed dissatisfied.
